Removing bad energy the Islamic way

13/11/2025

To remove bad energy in an Islamic way, focus on spiritual practices like reciting specific duas and Quranic verses, performing Ruqyah, and engaging in physical cleansing methods like using olive oil and black seed oil.

Also, maintain a spiritually clean environment by decluttering, performing regular prayers, and using certain natural elements like oud incense for purification.

Spiritual and prayer methods

1. Recite specific duas: Say prayers for protection and purification, such as seeking refuge from worries and asking for forgiveness. A specific dua is: “O Allah, Lord of Muhammad, forgive my sins, remove anger from my heart and save me from tribulations which send people astray”.

2. Recite the last three surahs of the Quran: Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas, and blow them onto your hands to wipe over your body for protection.

3. Recite Ayat al-Kursi and the last three Quls: Recite these verses daily, especially before bed, to protect against evil energy.

4. Perform Ruqyah: Recite specific Quranic verses over water and drink it or bathe in it. This is a permissible and recommended method of seeking a cure through the Quran, as the entire Quran is considered a healing for believers.

5. Engage in dhikr: Constantly remember Allah (dhikr) and recite phrases like “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil 'Aliyil 'Azheem” (There is no support and no power except in Allah).

Physical and environmental methods

1. Use purification oils: Rub olive oil or black seed oil on your head and body after reciting Quranic verses over them.

2. Drink purified water: Drink water that has had Quranic verses recited on it.

3. Use purification incense: Burn oud or esphand (wild rue seed) to purify the environment, as they are known to drive away negative energies and attract believing jinn.

4. Declutter your home: Regularly clean and remove clutter from your home, as it is believed to invite heaviness and cling to the past, symbolizing a blockage of new, positive energy.

5. Maintain spiritual cleanliness: Regularly perform daily prayers and recite the morning and evening adhkars (remembrances).

6. Use salt: Place sea salt in the corners of rooms, or add it to water for a bath, as salt is considered a powerful cleansing agent.
